Teachings On Transforming the Mind and Opening The Heart

We all want to live happier and more peaceful lives. It is natural to think that if we change our circumstances, then we will become happier. Sometimes it does. For instance, if we were living in a very cold climate and suffered constantly because of the cold, then moving to a warmer climate could bring us a little more happiness. But the underlying truth is that unhappiness and happiness begins in the mind, and as such, if we work with our minds in transforming how we see and react to our worlds, then we develop a clear and wise center of happiness and peacefulness which doesn't depend on our surrounding circumstances. The practice to do this is the jewel and the heart of spiritual transformation. We can let our practice and our process be a sacred journey for us.

There are many ways of transforming our minds and opening our hearts. Here are a few teachers, whose teachings I personally recommend.
